This event is provided by Vision Action Network

Nonprofits today are constantly expected to provide more expansive and higher-quality services with fewer resources, and a key part of getting the work done is the successful management and retention of volunteers. During this training, you will complete a ‘Volunteer Program Assessment’ tool for your organization, followed by a discussion about where to invest your energy to develop a better volunteer program.

We will cover topics such as volunteer recruitment strategies, orientations, waivers/liability, and external resources available to you as someone working with volunteers. Note that this training is designed for organizations with volunteer programs in development/staff new to volunteer management, though everyone is welcome to participate.

Presenters: Volunteer Management Experts Becky Blumer and Lizzie Houns of Hands on Greater Portland.

Workshop is in partnership with Washington County Nonprofit Network, The City of Beaverton and Hands on Greater Portland.
