NAO’s 2018 Members-Only Annual Meeting Call

We are excited to announce that NAO will be hosting our 2018 Members Only Annual Meeting Call over a conference line/online platform powered by our friends at Nonstop Administration and Insurance Services, Inc. on Tuesday, November 20 from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. PT.
NAO Board President Nancy Ramirez Arriaga and NAO Executive Director Jim White will share highlights and a brief report of NAO’s work in 2018. This will be followed by recognition and acknowledgment of NAO Board Members whose terms have ended and the introduction of new Board members, who will begin their terms January 1, 2019. A portion of our meeting will be dedicated to hearing from you - our members! Be sure dial in or have a computer with microphone access.
NAO members are spread across all parts of Oregon and we hope that you will join us from the comfort of your own space for NAO’s Annual Meeting Call!
As always, our Annual Meetings are at no-cost, but registration is required.
About the Presenter
Jim currently serves as the Executive Director of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon. He began this assignment in October of 2012. Jim is deeply committed to social change and has worked in the nonprofit sector both domestically and internationally for more than 20 years. He has a passion for affecting systemic change in the way that the public, private and nonprofit sectors work together to support and strengthen civil society. He is specifically skilled on working to build alliances and partnerships with mission and results driven outcomes in mind.
Before joining NAO, Jim worked for Mercy Corps for 15 years, most recently as the Vice President of Operations. He has also worked for the International Organization for Migration and the American Red Cross. Jim earned a BS in Engineering Technology from Temple University and a MA in Central Eurasian Area Studies from Indiana University.
Nancy Ramirez Arriaga is drawn to building the capacity of individuals and organizations in order to help create social change. This passion is rooted in her binational experience. She was born in Morelos, Mexico, and has lived in Oregon for over 20 years. Ms. Ramirez has over 16 years of experience in the nonprofit sector include program management, advocacy, stakeholder involvement, and change management. Ms. Ramirez is a Building Communities Program Officer at the Meyer Memorial Trust. She specializes in intercultural strategies to develop innovative sustainable solutions while promoting culturally fluent workplaces.
