Event Description

Title
Interrupting Dominant Culture in the Workplace

Presenter
Alexis James, Director of Training and Organization Development, Cascade Employers Association

Are you a leader in your organization still struggling to make changes that decenter white, heterosexual, cisgender culture? This session will look at the white supremacist culture list of 11 values and in groups participants will strategize antidotes based on collective experience, research and industry expertise. Each person will leave with an action plan and strategic tools to take back to their organization, community, and team.

Area of Nonprofit Excellence - Leadership & Culture

Every learning opportunity NAO offers is aligned with one of nine areas of our Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence that NAO believes are critical to every nonprofit’s effectiveness and success. Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential for a thriving, effective and successful nonprofit; therefore, DE&I is embedded across all nine areas.

This event focuses on Leadership & Culture. For additional resources in this category, visit: Leadership & Culture.
