Event Description

The Resilient Nonprofit Leader: Navigating Change in Nonprofits

Vanessa A. Becker, Senior Principal Consultant, V Consulting & Associates Inc.

Maximize your organization’s impact, build increased engagement and productivity of your staff, board and volunteers and better navigate the ever-changing tides of change in the nonprofit sector by practicing resilient leadership. In this workshop you will gain a deeper understanding of attitudes, skills and behaviors of resilient leaders and resilient nonprofit organizations.

Learn how resilient leaders turn disruptive changes, conflicts or crises from disaster into a growth opportunity, both personally and organizationally.  Academic frameworks for resilience and leadership will be reviewed and applied with real world resilient leadership experience.  Participants will also assess their own leadership styles, identify primary change stressors in their organizations and leave with areas of focus to become more resilient and adaptable to change.

Area of Nonprofit Excellence - Leadership and Culture, Purpose and Strategy

Every learning opportunity NAO offers is aligned with one of nine areas of our Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence that NAO believes are critical to every nonprofit’s effectiveness and success. Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential for a thriving, effective and successful nonprofit; therefore, DE&I is embedded across all nine areas.

This event focuses on Resource Development, Purpose and Strategy. For additional resources in these categories, visit: Leadership and Culture, Purpose and Strategy.
