Important Update on tomorrow’s Oregon Nonprofit Virtual Town Hall

U.S. Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley will not be able to be on tomorrow’s virtual town hall.  Senator Wyden is scheduled to be on the floor of the U.S. Senate speaking at that time and Senator Merkley follows right behind him. NAO will be re-scheduling the virtual town hall for a later date. However, both senators wanted to make sure they shared information with Oregon nonprofits and have pivoted to have their staffs represent them at tomorrow’s session, which is now compressed to 30 minutes from 8:30 to 9 a.m. PT.

Representing U.S. Senator Ron Wyden’s office will be:

  • Grace Stratton, Field Representative
  • Jenni Katzman, Senior Domestic Policy Council
  • Adam Carasso, Senior Tax and Economic Advisor
  • Chris Arneson, Senior Tax Policy Advisor
  • Rachael Kauss, Tax Policy Analyst

Representing U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley’s office will be:

  • Allison Hunn, Economic Policy Advisor
  • Kelli Horvath, State Field Director

Moderators

Raziah Roushan, NAO Board Member and Chair of NAO Public Policy Committee, Nonprofit Association of Oregon

Raziah is a professional fine artist and arts administrator. She brings with her fluent knowledge for non-profit management having worked on staff or as a board member with organizations and public entities dedicated to the creative sectors. Some of Raziah’s most notable positions held include being the Grant Writer and Foundry Art Studios Manager for New Village Arts Theatre; Program Director for San Marcos Arts Council; Director of Marketing at Oceanside Museum of Art; Managing Director for Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre/Northwest; and Steering Committee Member of Beaverton’s upcoming Art Center as well as Chair of Beaverton Arts Commission. Raziah holds a Master’s Degree in Art Administration from Savannah College of Art & Design, and Bachelors of Fine Art from Pacific Northwest College of Art.
