About the Presenters

Jessica Yoder, Shareholder, McDonald Jacobs

As a Shareholder at McDonald Jacobs, Jessica loves learning about different organizations and watching them grow, whether it is carrying out financial statement audits, reviews or compilations, or consulting with clients to improve internal controls. Jessica serves on the board for Everence Association, is part of the finance committee for Schoolhouse Supplies, as well as volunteers regularly with Portland’s chapter of Women In Insurance & Financial Services. Jessica and her husband and son spend time cheering on the Portland Timbers at home games and exploring all of Portland Parks' best playgrounds.

Jeffrey Lester, Senior Assurance Manager, McDonald Jacobs

Jeffrey Lester joined McDonald Jacobs as an Audit Manager in 2018. He has worked in public accounting since 2009, and has experience auditing many industries before specializing in non-profits. Jeffrey was drawn to McDonald Jacobs because of the people – both in the firm and at our clients. Jeffrey has a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Southern California and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from University of California Santa Cruz. Prior to entering public accounting, he worked as a professional educator, teaching math to high school students in rural Southern California. Jeffrey adopts a hands-on, collaborative approach to audits, which comes from his education background. He is responsive, dependable, and will look for areas to add value, from internal control analysis to presentations about changing accounting pronouncements. In his free time, Jeffrey enjoys playing basketball, reading, and playing with his three children.
