How are nonprofits moving forward using an HR lens to reimagine their success? Mark Kajitani, HR Director and Consultant will share four core strategies Oregon nonprofits are using to adjust to our new business reality:

  • Caring for Employees: Employee Assistance Plans.
  • Staffing Crisis: Are you becoming the side-hustle?
  • Workplaces Conflict: Pay Equity's Definition.
  • Hybrid, Hoteling, and rethinking space.

Due to the increasing COVID-19 cases and rise of the Delta variant, this network session will be held virtually via Zoom.

About the Presenter

Mark Kajitani, Director of Human Resources, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization

For the last 15 years, Mark Kajitani is honored to be the Human Resources Director for the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization, a community based nonprofit social service provider. Prior to this, he was the HR Director at Danville Services, a company that provides care for people with disabilities. He graduated from the University of Oregon. Mark also facilitates a group made up of HR professionals that work for nonprofits in Oregon. He is professionally certified by the Society of Human Resources Management as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional(SHRM-SCP)  and as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Credentialing Institute. Mark has been a consultant and speaker for Portland State University, Portland Community College, and the Nonprofit Association of Oregon in partnership with Oregon Health Authority. Outside of work, Mark Kajitani plays the banjo, volunteers at his kids' (Simon and Noelle) school and is an avid birder.
