Work Session: Calculating ROI for Fundraising Events

Events are an essential revenue source for many nonprofits. They also require significant time and resources to plan, promote, and execute well. The key to finding balance is ensuring that your fundraising events align with your mission and reflect best practices in resource development and stewardship. In this work session, we’ll practice determining the Return on Investment (ROI) and Return on Mission (ROM) for fundraising events. Participants will learn how to calculate their organization's ROI and ROM and structure conversations with board and staff about the effectiveness of each event.
