Event Description

Title
Year-End Fiscal Outlook and Networking Coffee

Presenters
Blaine Bradford, Tax Manager, McDonald Jacobs
Grace Charles, Assurance Manager, McDonald Jacobs

Nonprofits require sustained funding sources and steady financial management. Each year, new rules, regulations, and/or ordinances may affect nonprofits and their funding. In this session, we will review 2023 and discuss any recent changes in the nonprofit sector and how to stay compliant. We'll discuss changes in Oregon and the Portland Metro area, including Oregon's Equal Pay Act and Paid Leave program, Metro taxes and payroll, the City of Portland's rental registration requirement, business tax filing requirements, audit and single audit requirements, and more.

We'll also discuss the outlook for nonprofit finance trends in 2024, ensuring you know what will impact your organization's bottom line. At the end of this session, participants will be more equipped to navigate these changes through tax and financial perspectives.

NAO is committed to creating inclusive learning environments and providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Automatic closed captioning via Zoom is turned on by default for all NAO virtual sessions. For other accommodation requests, please contact us at training@nonprofitoregon.org. Advanced notice of at least 10 days is appreciated.
