Event Description

Title
The Future of Nonprofit Leadership: Trends to Track and Actions to Take Now

Presenter
Kari Anderson, Principal, Incite! Consulting

As a new generation of employees makes decisions about the type of work they want to engage in, we have an obligation in the nonprofit sector to assess how business gets done. Now’s the time to look at what’s working—and what’s not—at your shop. Join Kari Anderson with Incite! Consulting to learn more about (not so) unique leadership structures, including co-directorship, flat hierarchies, and different ways to provide governance via your board. We’ll discuss the future of leadership structures and how a person can flex leadership when not in a leadership role. Kari has some immediate takeaways for you as a manager or director—regardless of your career ambitions. All employees and board members can lead in their roles—Kari will share how to do it!

Automatic closed captioning via Zoom is turned on by default for all NAO virtual sessions. For accommodation requests, please contact us at [email protected]. Advanced notice of at least 10 days is appreciated.

About the Presenter

Kari Anderson, Principal, Incite! Consulting

Board border collie. Professional people herder. Some of the titles nonprofit maven Kari Anderson wears running Incite! Consulting, a boutique coaching and consulting practice. What's her niche? Building nonprofits up. From the inside out.

What’s her superpower? Kari is a recovering nonprofit executive. During her 20+ years in the field, she served seven nonprofits in Washington and Colorado in various leadership roles. A seasoned board member, she has served on boards in seven states focused on health, athletics and education. Having served as both staff and board, she’s got the scoop on what it takes to run a healthy, vibrant and visionary business, all while having some serious fun!

A Montana native, Kari is based in Coeur d’Alene, ID and Jackson, WY. She brings the office and toolkit to her client, and works with nonprofits to support people, increase revenues and rethink strategies to move missions forward.
