Event Description

Title
Managing Financials with an Operational Mindset

Presenter
Megan Fries, Operational Strategist, Frenzy to Freedom

We generally start or lead a nonprofit because we are passionate about a cause and want to make a difference, not because we love to wear ALL the hats. Financial management is one of the key areas to gauge success, create plans for growth, and demonstrate our effectiveness as an organization—truly an area we can all use some support. This session walks us through financial aspects that will strengthen the operations of your organization. From division of accountabilities, internal controls, and documentation of policies and procedures, we will examine the core areas where intention can create a massive impact. Doing so allows us to become more specialized in our accountabilities and better able to utilize the information in our accounting for funding opportunities, testing and measuring of operations, and overall better oversight and strategy. Ultimately, an operational mindset allows us to focus on what we love and keep more of every dollar to use for mission fulfillment.

For accommodation requests, please contact us at [email protected]. Advanced notice of at least 10 days is appreciated.
