Event Description

Title
Functional Forecasting: Taking Control of Cash Flow

Presenter
Jenn Clemo, Director of Nonprofit Leadership & Learning, NAO

Many organizations find themselves at the mercy of their finances, instead of the other way around. The best strategy to combat this trap? Managing your cash flow! In this 2-hour workshop, participants will do a deep dive to explore how cash flows in and out of an organization. Through hands-on activities, templates, and break-out conversations, we’ll build the skills and confidence that nonprofit leaders need to better manage precious financial resources.

This webinar is part of NAO’s Springboard Series – a cluster of trainings designed for rural nonprofits. This session is applicable to both board and staff, particularly those who liaise with boards.

Note: We encourage Board Bright: Finance Fundamentals as a prerequisite, though it is not required.

Learning objectives:

  • Develop and utilize tools to project your organization’s cash flow
  • Predict how the seasonality of your revenue and expenses can impact your cash flow
  • Identify financial health indicators that can jeopardize financial stability
  • Discuss how to best manage cash flow during periods of unpredictability or change

Automatic closed captioning via Zoom is turned on by default for all NAO virtual sessions. For other accommodation requests, please contact us at training@nonprofitoregon.org. Advanced notice of at least 10 days is appreciated

This workshop will be recorded, and a copy of the recording will be made available to all registered attendees.
