What to Expect
Come together with the Nonprofit Association of Oregon (NAO), foundation representatives, and local nonprofits for one of the 2017 Nonprofit Resource Roundups. NAO is offering this no-cost opportunity for nonprofit staff, board, and volunteers to connect, meet funders, and learn about available resources. Gain tips for a compelling organizational story and funding proposal, and get the latest on current issues facing our sector and actions you can take to make an impact.

Participants will:

  • Build connections with other nonprofits in the region and grow your network
  • Learn about foundation resources and grant opportunities, and meet funder representatives
  • Connect with NAO resources to support your nonprofit’s success
  • Explore and discuss current policy and proposals that impact Oregon nonprofits

This event is being offered statewide! See full Resource Roundup schedule here.

Amy Carlson leads NAO’s rural programs, working to build community, grow capacity, and raise commitment among rural nonprofits to serve as effective, networked, and community-centered organizations. Amy brings 18 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining NAO in 2011, she served in community organizing, program development and management, and consulting roles. Amy has built successful programs from the ground up, guiding them through the stages of development to achieve sustainability and impact. She is also proud of her grassroots organizing work, mobilizing hundreds of people across Oregon to get involved with advocacy campaigns. Amy has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Willamette University and has completed graduate coursework at PSU’s Institute for Nonprofit Management. When not busy engaging rural nonprofit and community leaders, you can find Amy hiking and backpacking in the many amazing natural places we enjoy in Oregon, especially those that involve jumping in high alpine lakes and eating huckleberries.
