This training simply delves into why committees are helpful or even vital to most nonprofits, and where they can go astray. We will spend a lot of time discussing how to get a committee started up, and contributing to what staff are doing in a useful way... and how to keep one going. We cover board and non-board committees. We will look at agendas, mandates, communication, reporting and evaluation of their success.

George Myers worked until 2013 with Habitat for Humanity International then became an independent nonprofit consultant. He enjoys strategic planning, and has worked with over 160 boards! He focuses on fundraising, capacity building and evaluation. George approaches all work with an asset and strength-based perspective looking for "what's working."
