Event Description

Title
Wellness and Wellbeing for Leaders and Their Teams - The BrainScience of Compassionate Leadership

Presenter
Anna Young, Principal, Anna Young Leadership Coaching

As leaders, over the last year and a half, our inboxes have been flooded from leadership and HR firms alike, emphasizing the importance of wellbeing. Nonprofit staff and volunteers have been trying to learn how to take care of ourselves and our teams in order to allow our organizations thrive (or at least manage) through change and crisis. And yet, for many of us, while we know the importance of it - it still feels hard, or even impossible to put into practice, becoming one more thing on our already overly long to do lists. Sometimes practicing wellbeing can even feel as though it is contributing to our burnout.

In this webinar we will take a brain-based approach to:

  • Understanding what we mean by wellbeing and why it is so critical to performing well.
  • Looking at wellbeing with a small ‘w’ to learn about micro changes that can be powerful opportunities for change.
  • Exploring the obstacles (both internal and external)  that get in our way to doing what weknow is important.
  • Identifying easy to apply practices that we can make use of to create positive change for ourselves and our teams.

Through presentation and discussion we will create a safe supportive environment to discuss the challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to come out with concrete and practical steps they can take and tips for how to help them stick.

Due to the increasing COVID-19 cases and rise of the Delta variant, this network session will be held virtually via Zoom.
