Photo of the Year is an amateur and professional photo contest benefitting
Friends of Outdoor School. Since 2004, POTY has raised more than $100,000 to
help sixth graders attend this natural sciences camp.
It features the best images made in the Northwest and worldwide of the
outdoors, travel and adventure. Up to five photo submissions for $15. Youth
under 18 submit free!
New in 2014: our Instagram category, sponsored by Travel Oregon! Tag your
photos with #POTY2014 to enter, and #TravelOregon to be posted on their
Instagram page.
Submit photos from Dec. 1, 2014 – Feb. 1, 2015. Submitted photos will be
reviewed by our esteemed judges by February 7, 2015. Photos that make the cut
will be posted for public online voting from February 8 through February 15,
2015. After public voting, our judges will select five (5) Photo of the Year
finalists from the ten (10) top vote-getters for the Top 100 category and the
first place winner from the top five (5) vote-getters from all other
categories. The first-place winner of the other categories will be revealed
online on February 20, 2015, and attendees at the Awards Gala will vote for
Photo of the Year 2014!
