Creating a Realistic & Meaningful Outcome Evaluation Process

Ecotrust Conference Center 721 NW 9th Avenue
Portland

About this event

Chari Smith
CRSmith Consulting, Evaluation into Action

Presentation & Continental Breakfast at 8:00
Networking at 9:30

Program Evaluation is a systematic process to studying how well a program is working. It involves multiple research methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other forms of measurement. Two primary reasons to conduct a program evaluation are to have 1) a mechanism that identifies areas in need of improvement as well as areas that are strong, and 2) a tool to illustrate accountability to funders and stakeholders.

Do you want data to understand how well you are fulfilling your mission? A realistic program evaluation process can help you understand how to collect, manage, and use data to meet your program goals. This 90-minute interactive session will explore five steps in a program evaluation cycle:

  • Assessment: Identify current evaluation activities and data collected
  • Design: Define measurable outcomes
  • Data Collection: Create a realistic data collection system
  • Data Analysis/Reporting: Document data in a concise format that aligns to outcomes
  • Communications: Create a plan on how to share results with stakeholders
