“Stewardship: Shut the Back Door” will be presented by Larry Hostetler on
Thursday, September 3, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program from noon to 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 SW Salmon Street, Portland, OR 97205. The event is sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Oregon & Southwest Washington Chapter.

Larry Hostetler, Chapter Services Director for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), will discuss how it is much more cost-effective to increase awareness of current donors than obtaining new supporters and what should, and shouldn’t, be included for stewardship of donors. Hostetler joined the AFP staff in 2011. His territory includes 67 chapters in the western U.S. Prior to joining AFP as a staff member, his fundraising career spanned three decades, and communities from coast to coast. He has served in both fundraising and executive director positions, most recently as the Director of Marketing and Fund Development for Sierra Vista Child & Family Services in Modesto, California.

The cost for the event is $35 for AFP members, $25 for AFP Young Pofessional members and $50 for nonmembers and guests. Tables of 8 are available for $350. Pre-registration is required.
