Are you a representative of a nonprofit organization? New to fundraising? Do you want to learn how the funding research process works, and what tools and resources are available?

Learn how to become a better grantseeker! In this class we will explore:

  • What you need to have in place before you seek a grant
  • The world of grantmakers
  • The grantseeking process
  • Available tools and resources

About the Presenter

C. Davis Parchment has been working with the Foundation Center in various capacities since 2006. Originally hired as part of the nonprofit services team, she was responsible for designing and delivering training programs in support of the capacity building needs of nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area. Recently, she moved to Portland and has shifted roles to focus on the Glasspockets.org initiative and several special research projects.

Prior to joining the Center, she spent over 11 years in various nonprofit organizations working in fundraising, nonprofit management, education, and international development. She designed a program in India for women recovering from sex-trafficking, and service-oriented leadership training programs for youth in Egypt, Puerto Rico and California. Davis holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College and a MEd from Harvard University.
