About this event
This event is provided by Lane Arts Council
Today’s communications landscape provides numerous options for developing awareness of your art and building a customer base. A personal brand is a way for you to focus your marketing activities to be efficient and effective when selling your art.
This workshop will begin with a discussion of personal brands: what they are, why they are important, and how artists can build their own personal brands. We will then discuss techniques for creating awareness of your brand with the goal of committing only thirty minutes per day for marketing activities. Topics covered will include both online and traditional marketing channels, the benefits of a social media ‘hub’, marketing to galleries, and
optimizing online marketing for search engine success.
Participants should come to the workshop with a list of three-to-five words that describe themselves as an artist—this will be the foundation of the personal brand. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to develop their own daily marketing calendar to jump start their marketing efforts.
Individual Workshop: $20 | Workshop Series Pass: $50
