The Art of Proposal Writing: Program Officer + Trustee Perspectives

Unlike any workshop you’ve been to before, this full-day training introduces
you to nine of the most influential foundation representatives in Oregon, as
well as a panel of highly distinguished past and present trustees from Meyer
Memorial Trust, the James F. & Marion L. Miller Foundation, and The Oregon
Community Foundation. All will share firsthand how and why they make their
funding decisions.

AND, during this interactive training, you will receive direct feedback on
one of your own proposals while working in small groups with trustees, program officers, and representatives from the following funders:

• Collins Foundation
• Spirit Mountain Community Fund
• The Oregon Community Foundation
• James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation
• The Standard Charitable Foundation
• Jackson Foundation
• PGE Foundation

Working side-by-side with these funders, you will also have the opportunity to provide feedback to your peers. This will help you learn to “think like a program officer” and apply the same principles to your own writing.

This workshop is primarily designed for skilled grant writers and fundraising
professionals. Nonprofit managers, board members, consultants and others who
have experience writing proposals are also welcome.

Please note that our grant strategies workshop in April sold out quickly, and
we anticipate the May workshop will too. Only 50 seats are available; early
registration is encouraged!
