This interactive session will provide a quick review of proven practices to successfully engage your Board in your fundraising program. We’ll explore a framework developed by The Bridgestone Group that provides six steps to identifying and developing funding models that are the best fit for your organization (not a one-size-fits-all proposition!). Finally, we’ll look at a few of the newer models of fundraising, such as social fundraising, and some tips on how you can employ these models in your organization.

Presentation & Continental Breakfast at 8:00
Networking at 9:30

About the Presenters

Leapfrog’s mission is to increase the effectiveness and enhance the vitality of groups, communities, and organizations. Adrienne Graham, nonprofit organizational consultant and owner of Leapfrog Training and Facilitation, has been serving communities, nonprofits, public agencies, and associations in Oregon since early 2005. She brings 18 years of experience in providing training and facilitation, and over 12 years of experience leading and managing successful teams in both the public and private sectors. Adrienne received her MA in Adult Education, Workforce Training, and Education from Oregon State University. Adrienne lives in Bend, where she serves as Board Chair for the Bend Endurance Academy.

Jen Rusk’s 30 years in the nonprofit sector as a manager, development director, consultant, and Board member have given her a unique vantage on nonprofits—both as independent businesses and as a growing sector of the US economy. Over the past 10 years, Jen has helped 33 Central Oregon nonprofits achieve great success in the areas of planning, organization development, and fundraising. She holds a BA from the University of California at Santa Cruz, has extensive training in nonprofit consulting and fundraising, and is a Certified Professional and Personal Coach through the Coaches Training Institute.

Tim Rusk is the Executive Director at MountainStar Family Relief Nursery, a local nonprofit working to prevent child abuse and neglect for babies and toddlers in our community. He has over 25 years’ experience working in nonprofits and an MA in Organization Development. MountainStar was the first “Organization of the Year” recognized by the Bend Chamber of Commerce and is the only Central Oregon program accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Private donor revenue typically makes up a third of MountainStar’s budget.
