Presenter
Ryan Orr, HR & Compliance Consultant, Cascade Employers Association

We’ve recently receive the much anticipated final FLSA overtime/exempt and minimum wage rules that will be taking effect soon. Join us for an explanation of how to prepare for these major changes. Additionally, we will discuss some of the other biggest changes that are happening in the employment law world. 2016 has been a big year, and being prepared for 2017 means you won’t want to miss out on this session.

We will discuss:

  • The specific details and the potential impact of both the FLSA and minimum wage rules
  • How these changes will create wage compression and what to do about that
  • Proposed (and possibly final) changes to the Oregon Sick Leave Rules
  • New OSHA commentary that affects post-accident drug and alcohol testing and safety incentive programs
  • New changes to EEO-1 reporting
  • DOL & BOLI’s emphasis on independent contractor misclassification
  • Oregon’s new paystub bill
  • How to prepare for all these changes, so you stay in compliance

We look forward to seeing you there and helping you better understand and prepare for these significant changes!
