Continental Breakfast & Networking at 8:30
Presentation at 9:00
Tired of investing time and money in strategic planning processes that lead nowhere? Be the champion in your organization for turning your strategic plan into an action plan, and for making strategic planning an enjoyable—instead of a dreaded—process.
In this fast-paced session, we will quickly cover the basics of strategic planning, including best practices. We will identify ways that you can create regular opportunities for Board, staff, and other stakeholders to participate in strategic planning, and more importantly, help ensure your goals are implemented. We will also be sure to talk specifics: tried and true tips for preventing your plan from collecting dust on a shelf.
We will send you on your way with the tools you need to get started (or generate new momentum for a waning process). We will also provide differing strategic plan templates in electronic formats.
Strategic planning has the ability to reinvigorate—or in some cases, reinvent—your organization. Contribute to our collective learning and walk away with tools, ideas, and conviction to make it happen for your organization!
- Breaking it down: an overview of strategic planning components and options
- Cultivating participatory planning: what it means for your organization and how it can lead to better strategic plan implementation
- Making your strategic plan an action plan: how to ensure that your plan “lives” in your organization and guides the day-to-day work
