About this event

This event is provided by Resolutions Northwest

A donation-based workshop for educators. Parents welcome.

Tuesday, January 17 @ 3:30pm – 7:00pm, at Unite Oregon (formerly the Center
for Intercultural Organizing)

The Southern Poverty Law Center released a report documenting 900 cases of
“Harassment and Intimidation” during the first ten days following the
elections. Most of the incidents took place in school settings. The actual
number is higher, and it keeps increasing. Oregon finds itself on top of the
list in numbers of occurrences relative to our population. The data is
matched by stories we hear from local schools. The question is: What can we
do?

Learn about resources for preventative and relationship-building activities
in schools. Familiarize yourself with tools that can be taught to youth who
are targets, as well as to those who are bystanders. Participate in a
discussion on possible restorative responses to hold youth who initiate the
harassment accountable.
Co-sponsored by Resolutions Northwest and Unite Oregon.
