About the Panel
Dwayne Davis started his board membership experience when he joined the board of Wayne County Alcoholism Services in Wooster, Ohio. Eventually serving as President, Dwayne helped initiate a capital campaign that resulted in new outpatient facilities and treatment options. In 2002 Dwayne joined the board of Portland Gay Men’s Chorus where he served a term as president and was chair of the fund development committee for 5 years. During his first year the PGMC board was struggling to raise $15K. Today PGMC regularly sets and meets charitable giving goals in excess of $100K and are aware of in excess of 2 million in planned giving. Dwayne has termed off the board but remains involved with the fund development committee. Dwayne is a Realtor with Realty Trust Group in Portland.
As former President of the Rotary Club, Dev Dion led the Annual Trust Drive and continues to be involved in it. He also brings to the panel his experience as a board member at Loaves and Fishes. He has served as marketing and business strategy consultant to large companies, both domestic and international, including pharmaceutical and telecommunications companies. His involvement in volunteer fundraising inspired him to change his career, and he recently began advancement work at Community Home Health and Hospice in Vancouver.
Leah King has been a board member for Bridge Meadows for five years. She serves on the Gala Committee and actively supports the two annual fundraising events that Bridge Meadows produces. She has worked at Fidelity National Title as their Vice President of Lender Sales since 1997 with additional work history in real estate and lending. In addition, she has served as a member of the OAMP Convention Committee (2007-2010), which is the Oregon Association of Mortgage Professionals. The annual convention raises funds for speakers, provides updates on current legislative changes/proposals, and education breakout sessions.
Susi Stevens, (Controller at Ad-Mail, Inc.) recently completed a 6 year term on the Hoyt Arboretum Friends board. She was involved in the evolution of their annual NonEvent, started the 'house party' fundraiser, and worked on several other events including lemonade stand/information booths, plant sales, redwood improvement project celebration, and the 75 year celebration. Susi's efforts at HAF were largely directed to "friend-building", as well as, fundraising. Susi has also served on the Women of Good Samaritan steering committee for five years.
