Summer’s End Festival Celebrates Fun and Sun!

You are invited to the Summer’s End Festival with bike ride and parade
hosted by Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church! Mark your calendar for
Sunday, September 10th! Bring your friends, your family, and your neighbors!
Wear your parade or bike gear to 11 AM Mass or stay after the Festival
endsand attend Life Teen Mass at 6 PM.

The Summer’s End Festival starts at 12 noon and concludes at 5:00 PM on the
parish grounds at 650 A. Avenue, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. Please sign up today

There will be 2 bike rides offered to participants. The longest ride will be
16 miles. There will also be a 6 mile ride. The noon parade down A. Avenue
is free. There will be a motorcycle escort. These events will begin after
the blessing of the bikes. The cost will be $15 for the bike rides.
Pre-registered riders will receive a T-shirt. You will find a map of the
bike routes on the Festival website.

Whether you ride or not, many activities will be available at the
festival’s Funland. Kids’ games and inflatables will surely please one
and all. A square dancing group will show their steps. A Taekwondo
demonstration will thrill and amaze. There will be a ballet demonstration.
Also planned is Frisbee golf for kids as well as adults, a cupcake walk, a
bagpiper and much more! Admission to Funland activities and bounce houses is
$3 if a meal ticket is not purchased.

DJ Steve of Only The Best Sounds will provide 5 hours of customized playlist
of the hottest, greatest and latest music. No matter your preference, you
will likely hear tunes you love! Steve brings with him a photo booth with a
large assortment of props to make every picture a memory! Return to the
photo booth often free of charge!

The parish chapter of the Knights of Columbus has a tantalizing menu planned.
You will be treated to pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers, cheeseburgers,
hot dogs, “picnic” side dishes such as watermelon, corn on the cob and
potato salad plus lemonade from noon to 5 PM.

An adult meal ticket will cost $10. A meal ticket for children 4-10 years of
age will be $7 and includes all Funland activities plus bounce houses. The
festival marks the ending of the Knights of Columbus food drive. With your
donation of 2 cans of food to St. Vincent de Paul’s food barrel, you will
receive either an ice cream or a bag of popcorn at no charge.

The Lake Oswego Police Department will be on hand with a patrol car, a
motorcycle and their new Community Services van. Officers will gladly answer
questions and proudly show off their vehicles. The Lake Oswego Fire
Department will also have one of their fire trucks available to check out and
to climb on!
