Dialogues In Action, LLC
Presentation & Continental Breakfast at 8:00
Networking at 9:30
Change pushes us. Change challenges us. Change prompts us to grow.
Whether it’s responding to change, navigating through change, instigating change, or sustaining change, we who lead people and organizations filled with people need the skill to lead effectively in and through change in order to promote growth, development, and impact. It’s an imperative of leadership.
Change, however, is slippery to deal with. How can we help people grow through change and not just cope with change? How can we promote deep and durable change instead of superficial and fleeting change? How can we make sure the right kind of change takes hold in the right parts of people and the human systems organizing people to pursue a mission of social impact?
This session will help you see how.
At the center of this session is a model of human and human system change that will help you:
- See the human dimensions of change
- Diagnose the elements of people and organizations in need of transformation
- Intervene in the core features of human systems
- Design effective change initiatives
- Engage people in areas of their potential and intervene in areas of their recalcitrance
- Embed change within people and human systems
Who Should Attend?
- Executive directors
- Managers
- Program officers
- Board members
- Consultants
- Anyone tasked with the responsibility of growing people and organizations
This session will not only provide a model for human and organizational development, but will prepare us for taking practical steps to lead change. These key ideas have been tested and used in national nonprofits, international NGOs, school districts, and city management teams. We will reflect on examples from each. And together, we will explore the possibility of leading people to lasting and meaningful change.
