About this event

Barbara MacKay, MS, Certified Professional Facilitator
North Star Facilitators

Pizza, Salad, No-host Bar & Networking at 5:00
Presentation at 5:30

Are you tired of meetings that waste your time?

Through the neuroscience of learning, we are finding out more and more about how people best participate in meetings. In this short interactive session, we’ll explore three ways the meeting facilitator can systematically guarantee meaningful contributions from every attendee. We’ll share simple steps to ensure participants consistently attend meetings and willingly offer their unique knowledge and skills. When all your meetings are run with these three key elements in mind, you will begin to see a positive shift to more resilient, productive, and happier work teams.

About the Presenter

Since 1995 Barbara MacKay has been a full-time facilitator, adult educator, and mentor/coach with North Star Facilitators. Prior to founding her current company, Barbara incorporated facilitation skills into her work as a socio-economic consultant and researcher with tribes and rural communities in Canada. Her experience and knowledge covers thousands of facilitation and training events delivered to all sectors in the US, Canada, Mexico, Asia, and Australia. She currently mentors many colleagues, both nationally and internationally, in facilitation. Barbara has been an assessor for the certification process with the International Association of Facilitators since 2002 and with the Institute of Cultural Affairs since its program inception in 2007.
