About the Presenter
Ms. Diane Hood began working with the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary in July of 1993, first as a controller and then as CFO. Instrumental in the launching of Mary’s Woods at Marylhurst, she became its CFO when it opened in 2001. In 2011, Ms. Hood assumed the new position Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Hood has 31 years of accounting experience, both in the nonprofit and the for-profit sectors. She actively volunteers in the community and schools. She currently serves on the board of directors and finance committee of LeadingAge Oregon. In the past, Ms. Hood served as Chair of the School Advisory Council for Cathedral School and has served as both Advisory Council member and treasurer over the past 20 years. She also served as Chair and member of the Executive Board for CYO/Camp Howard and on the Board Finance Committee for Saint Mary’s Academy.
Ms. Hood earned her Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Oregon and her Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Portland State University. She is a licensed CPA.
