If you have ever faced the challenge of reaching new donors or engaging existing donors at a higher, more impactful level, then you will want to join us for this conversation exploring the psychology of the donor. Moderator Cristina Sanz—The Oregon Community Foundation’s Regional Director of Southern Oregon—will review key findings from OCF’s report Giving in Oregon 2013 about why people give (or do not give) their time and money to charitable causes.

A panel of donors will share their experiences and valuable advice from four distinct perspectives—donor, development director, business owner, and Board member. This session features the following experts:

  • Dave & Marge Bernard, Owners, Darex Corporation
  • Kathleen Davis, (Former) Planned Giving/Development Director, The Oregon Community Foundation
  • Les Cracraft, Employee Benefits Consultant, United Risk Solutions
  • Lyn Hennion, Senior Vice President – Investments, Umpqua Investments

Together, we will explore:

  • Who’s donating to charitable causes
  • Why they are donating time and money to these causes
  • How we can better position our organizations work to increase charitable donations
