Event Description

Title
2021 Annual Nonprofit GAAP Update

Presenter
Gary McGee, CPA, Founder and Managing Partner, Gary McGee & Co. LLP

Please join us for NAO’s annual nonprofit accounting and auditing update.

In this session, you will learn about new and proposed accounting and auditing standards, and how they will affect nonprofit organizations and their auditors.

Topics will include Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidance specific to nonprofit entities, AICPA accounting and auditing activities, and a Single Audit update.  We’ll discuss the latest developments, including the continuing effects of important accounting pronouncements already issued (ASU 2016-14 and 2018-08), as well as recently issued standards like ASU 2020-07, which seeks greater transparency in the reporting of contributed nonfinancial assets (gifts-in-kind).  Finally, we will cover recently effective date deferrals and other COVID-19-related financial reporting matters, key implementation matters on the new leases and other standards, and current FASB projects on goodwill and other areas.  A Q&A is included, so be sure to bring your questions.

Please send questions and comments ahead of the session to [email protected]

Please note that a recording of this webinar will be sent to registrants after the event.
