Join Diane Hood and Lisa Faust for a look at proactive methods for managing the ups and downs of your organization’s cash flow. You will hear about real cash management opportunities from a banker’s perspective and learn how to make your cash work for your organization. We’ll identify forecasting tools and discuss ways to engage development staff and board members in a constructive dialogue to ensure a steady cash flow balance in your organization.

  • Reporting cash flow status to the board
  • Tactics for managing cash flow timing and amounts

About the Presenters

Diane Hood is a C.P.A. and has been the Chief Financial Officer for Mary’s Woods at Marylhurst, Inc. since the CCRC opened in 2001. Prior to that time, in her role as Chief Financial Officer for the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Diane helped the religious community plan, develop, finance, and construct Mary’s Woods at Marylhurst in 1999. After leaving public accounting she began work with the Sisters of the Holy Names in 1993. She assisted the religious order in investments, accounting functions, retirement planning and financial projections, and eventually reconfigured their corporate structure. Prior to her work with the Sisters, Diane worked for KPMG with middle market and non-profit clients. Diane has a B.A. in Management from the University of Oregon and a Post-Baccalaureate Degree in Accounting from Portland State University. Diane serves on various nonprofit boards and finance committees in the Catholic non-profit community.

Lisa Faust is Vice President of Nonprofit Services for Pacific Continental Bank. Lisa oversees growth in the nonprofit sector for both Greater Portland and Greater Seattle markets for Pacific Continental. Lisa has been a commercial banker for over 18 years and she sits on the board of directors for two nonprofit organizations.
