Event Description

Title
Re-Centering: A Values-Based Approach to Navigating Challenges

Presenter
Michelle St. Romain Wilson, M.A., Wellspring Consulting

The last two years have brought unprecedented changes to nonprofit organizations. The pandemic and wildfires across the state of Oregon dramatically changed our work and personal lives. We have been challenged to find new ways of doing things as we face emerging needs in our communities. What do we need to continue moving forward during these times of personal and collective change? How do we find the resources we need to chart a path forward?

In this interactive webinar, we will take a look at where we are now, as individuals and as a collective community, as we begin to recover from the changes we continue to navigate. We will explore four ways we can re-center ourselves in our strengths, drawing on internal and external resources. Tools will be shared that can be used individually, with teams, or across organizations to support navigating the unique challenges we are facing in our work and personal lives.

In this 60-minute webinar, participants will:

  • Explore four ways to re-center during challenging times (the roots of our work; the values that guide us; the practices that sustain us; and the anchors that hold us steady)
  • Reflect on how these tools can be used individually and/or with teams
  • Create a plan for re-centering and finding balance during times of challenge and change
  • Have a written tool to bring back to their teams and organizations

Automatic closed captioning via Zoom is turned on by default for all NAO virtual sessions. For other accommodation requests, please contact us at [email protected]. Advanced notice of at least 10 days is appreciated.
