About this event

Topic: Development Assessments: a Hands-On Workshop

Speaker: Sally Dadmun-Bixby

Date:March 27, 2014
Details: Check-In: 3:00 pm
Program: 3:30-5:00 pm

Using a development assessment tool, Sally will lead Executive Directors, Board Members and Development Directors through the process of assessing their fundraising. All participants will receive a simple assessment form ahead of time and are asked to gather the information and bring appropriate details to this workshop (no need to make lots of copies, just have numbers/facts/figures). Participants will see why particular elements of an assessment are important, how to interpret the questions and answers and how to use this tool to make decisions.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will understand what a development assessment is and how it can be used as a decision tool

2. Participants will self-evaluate their organization and determine where additional information or “holes” exist

3. Participants will discuss/evaluate alternative fundraising mixes for their organization
