How Would You Handle a Data Breach?

About this event

Presenters
Gary Githens, Cyber Liability Team Lader, Beecher Carlson Insurance Agency LLC
Tom Herendeen, Vice President of the Professional and Management Liability group, Philadelphia Insurance Companies

Today’s world is much more digital than ever before with information readily available at our finger tips. The most important question is who owns the information? Your customers and your employees have entrusted you to protect their personally identifiable information. With that said, do you know if you have insurance coverage for the following?

  • A third-party who hacks into your computer system and steals data and personal records of your employees and customers?
  • A rogue employee intentionally destroys or releases personal information of others and posts the information online?
  • An employee of a nonprofit organization improperly disposed of 4,000 paper client records without following the appropriate shredding and privacy policies?

Answers to the questions listed above will help you better understand how you may be putting your nonprofit organization at risk. This informative presentation will help guide you on what services are available to help you through these difficult situations. Our presenters have more than 50 years of experience within the risk management field and insurance industry and they look forward to educating you on what you can do to protect your nonprofit organization from a data security breach.
