Leadership in the nonprofit sector is changing rapidly. A perfect storm of newly-created skills and experience gaps, Boomer retirement, and an influx of Millennial and Gen Y talent, passion, and drive is changing the norms and expectations of leadership in the sector. Is your organization prepared to meet the needs of this new generation of leaders? From young and emerging Executives to front-line staff, volunteers, board members, and philanthropists, the future of the social good sector depends on our capacity and ability to sustain and support this next generation of leadership.
On this panel, we'll hear from Executive Directors and local leaders who are creating social change in our community with bold, forward-thinking strategies and approaches. Hear firsthand what's helped these young leaders thrive, and learn practical strategies for removing barriers, facilitating growth, and building a successful next generation of leadership in your own organization.
This will be a panel discussion followed by a facilitated audience Q&A.
Takeaways from this session include:
- Strategies to attract and support emerging young leaders in your organization
- Proven models for developing emerging leaders
- Practical tips to create an organizational culture that values diversity, flexibility, and results
