About this event

Maryn Boess, National Nonprofit Trainer & Consultant
Founder, GrantsUSA

Presentation & Continental Breakfast at 8:00
Networking at 9:30

Do you have a great grant idea you’d like to create, but not sure how to start? Come and join us as we show you how to develop a fundable project concept in a matter of minutes. No more going back to the office to get it done – have a first-draft proposal concept in 90 minutes!

In this fast-paced interactive session:

  • You’ll learn what questions will lead you more deeply into your own best thinking about a successful project or funding need.
  • You’ll learn how to organize your ideas quickly.
  • You’ll learn how to tap into your own passion to discover the most compelling story behind your great idea.
  • You’ll learn the key planning questions every grantmaker needs you to answer in order to make an informed, intelligent, and confident decision about your proposal.

BONUS: Dozens of organizations just like yours have won grants of up to $144,000 – with a simple one-page, fill-in-the-blanks form. Want to know how? It’s called the Project Profile/Planning Worksheet – and you’ll discover how to put its power to work on behalf of your organization, right away.

Come with your own great idea! You’ll leave with a head start on a clear, compelling project proposal – one that grantmakers can fund.

About the Presenter

Maryn Boess is a 25-year nonprofit professional, social entrepreneur, and leader in capacity-building and grantsmanship training whose grant proposals won more than $42 million for her clients from 1989 through 1999. As founder of GrantsUSA LLC, from 2000 through 2011 she created a portfolio of high-quality, low-cost grants information tools, resources, and workshops taught nationwide. A resident of the Pacific Northwest since early 2011, Maryn travels nationally to share her workshops on practical strategies for nonprofit and public-sector success. Since 2006 she has also been “in the grantmaker’s seat,” managing up to $2 million annually in grantmaking for K-12 education through the Arizona Board of Regents.
