Pete Sommerfeld and Patrick Regan will share their experiences leading OHSU School of Dentistry’s “Our Moment is Here” campaign, where they successfully increased $1,000 annual gifts from donors into contributions ranging from $10,000 to $10 million.

Pete Sommerfeld, Senior Philanthropic Advisor, Oregon Health & Science University Foundation, joined the planned giving department at the OHSU Foundation in October 1996. In December, 2010, he was named the Foundation’s first Senior Philanthropic Advisor, having previously served
as its Senior Director of Gift Planning. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field. Pete came to OHSU Foundation from United Cerebral Palsy of Oregon and Southwest Washington, where he served as Director of
Planned Giving.

Patrick J. Regan, Senior Director of Development, Portland State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, previously served as the Director of Development at the OHSU School of Dentistry. He led the school’s “Our
Moment is Here” campaign in collaboration with a team of professionals at the OHSU Foundation. The campaign culminated in the dental school achieving a 20-year dream of moving to a new home on OHSU’s South Waterfront campus. Prior to moving to the advancement field, he spent 12 years in television broadcast news starting as an entry level Production Assistant and working upward to a front line Newscast Producer and Writer.

The cost for the event is $35 for AFP members and $50 for nonmembers. Tables of 8 are available for $350. Pre-registration is required. Online registration is available at www.afporegon.afpnet.org. For additional
