Live Wire Radio with Peter Sagal

Alberta Rose Theatre 3000 NE Alberta Street
Event Contact Person: Alley Frey

About this event

Live Wire Radio is Portland’s own nationally syndicated radio variety show. If you haven’t been to a Live Wire show before, here’s what you’re in for: it’s a bold, sometimes unusual, sometimes-dangerous-but-always-delightful mix of music, conversation and comedy. With beer.

Join us at the next live show! Some of our guests will include:

Peter Sagal
The host of the wildly popular NPR show, “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” since 1998, Peter is also a marathon runner, a playwright and the author of The Book of Vice: Very Naughty Things (and How to Do Them). Luke will be giving him fodder for the sequel.

Chelsea Cain
Chelsea Cain is a Portland based NYT bestselling thriller novelist (and sometimes Live Wire guest writer). Her latest novel is One Kick.

Beth Federici and Kathleen Squires

The Director/Producer team behind America’s First Foodie: The Incredible Life of James Beard. Beth and Kathleen created a loving cinematic tribute to the man who wrote 22 award-winning cookbooks and “made it okay to be a food geek.”

Ben Jacobsen
Ben Jacobsen just taught himself how to make sea salt three years ago, but he’s clearly a natural. The New York Times has already sung his salty praises, and some of the best chefs in the country are using his delicate, hand-harvested finishing salts.

Little Freddie King
The “master of electricity,” New Orleans guitarist and blues royalty Little Freddie King has been playing rural electric blues for over 40 years. His most recent record, “Chasing the Blues” was named “Best Blues Album of 2013” by the Indie Music Association.

Eef Barzelay
Eef Barzelay is the principal songwriter and lead singer for the alt country band Clem Snide. Eef’s most recent solo work is the a full album of fan chosen covers, including “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head,” and of course, “Frog Come a ‘Courtin’.”
