Calculating Your Rate Using the Modified Total Direct Cost Method

New federal rules require that all funding agreements containing federal dollars allow nonprofits to charge at least a 10% indirect cost rate. Learn how to calculate your indirect cost rate using the required Modified Total Direct Cost method to see if accepting the minimum rate will actually cover your indirect costs and what you can do if it doesn't.
