The Nonprofit Association of Oregon has developed an interactive map of Oregon that highlights key data we hope you find useful and informative. The map was developed based on 2016 data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Oregon Secretary of State’s Office and Nonprofit Association of Oregon.
The map demonstrates the positive reach and impact of Oregon’s nonprofits’ work across our state. The map highlights - by county - the number of nonprofits registered per county, the number of NAO members and relevant demographics (population and racial estimates*).
This is only the first step in our interactive map. Exclusively for NAO’s member access, we will be layering additional important information about nonprofits by county and zip code that will be of value to you. An example of the types of data we are compiling is below. We believe that by providing you this interactive map, you can conduct searches and filter information as you need. Together we can help strengthen the collective voice, leadership, and capacity of nonprofits to enrich the lives of all Oregonians.
Members of NAO will have access to a more robust search and filter feature (including search by zip code).
In addition to the public map below NAO members will have access to:
|Name of nonprofit||Nonprofit mission statement|
|Nonprofit EIN||Nonprofit (c) status|
|Nonprofit service area||Nonprofit website|
|Nonprofit budget size||# of volunteers|
|# NAO Nonprofit members||# of NAO Business Affiliate members|
*With random rounding, the issue that arises is that the counts for smaller geographies do not add up to the higher level parent geographies and, as a result, the sum of the percentages may be higher or lower than 100%. (Read more)
