Title
Supporting Nonprofit CEOs with Financial Strategy
Presenter
Scott Schaffer, Principal, Public Interest Management Group
As a finance professional, your job often entails attending to the details. Your executive director’s role is different: she or he needs to focus on the organization’s overall strategy. Finance is a big part of that, and you can make valuable contributions to the development of financial strategy. This workshop will cover an overview of strategic financial management from the executive director’s perspective. We’ll discuss the “big picture” view of the nonprofit business model, key metrics for financial health and sustainability, and how financial staff can support the strategy development process.
