Our low-cost annual membership fee is a sliding scale based on your annual operating budget to ensure access at all levels.

Business Affiliate/Service Providers

As a member of NAO, you become part of an important network of organizations, affiliates, and individuals who believe in the vitality of the sector. Our business members are important partners with NAO in providing support for the diverse needs of nonprofits in our state.

Through affiliate membership, nonprofit business providers become co-investors with NAO in improving and advancing the sector with relevant tools, trainings, resources and major advocacy for the common good. Join our network today!

Business Affiliate Membership Form

Business Affiliate (BA) Membership

Small BA (1-49 employees) – $150
Large BA (50+ employees) – $300

  • Basic listing as a resource in “The Directory” on NAO website to promote your services to the over 24,000 nonprofits in Oregon.
  • Up to 50 percent cost savings on networking/professional development events (over 100/year).
  • Access to NAO-member only webinars and resources including attendance at NAO Annual Meeting.
  • Cost savings on products and services.

Business Verified Affiliate (BVA) Membership

Small BVA (1-49 employees) – $275
Large BVA (50+ employees) – $425

The Verified level is for experienced service providers with a proven track record of providing quality services. Verification includes 3 nonprofit client references and proof of delivering services (client list).

All benefits of a Business Affiliate Member plus the opportunities below.

  • Enhanced listing in “The Directory” on NAO website, including expanded service information, logo/photo placement, upfront alphabetical positioning, and ability to receive reviews/post articles.
  • Be considered as a presenter for NAO professional development/learning network sessions (if presenter qualifications and criteria are met). Fill out Presenter Interest Form for consideration.
  • Eligible to be referred as a quality service provider when nonprofits request services. Whether BVA members receive referrals is based on the type of requests received from nonprofit organizations.

Business Affiliate Dues

Business Affiliate and Business Verified Affiliate Memberships with NAO supports consultants, businesses, and service providers in connecting with nonprofits to help them thrive and achieve their missions. Business Affiliate Members receive many of the same benefits as other NAO membership types, plus they receive a basic listing in The Directory to advertise their services.

Business Verified Affiliate Members receive the same benefits as Business Affiliates and, after a vetting process conducted by NAO, have enhanced benefits like a “Verified” listing in The Directory and opportunities to sponsor our events or training programs. For organizations that are not 501(c)3 tax-exempt, but still wish to take advantage of NAO’s great resources, this membership is for you! Membership Types

Small Government Entity (1-49 employees) – $150
Large Government Entity (50+ employees) – $300

  • Dues are based on number of employees in the department within the agency.
  • Entities receive all the same benefits as 501(c)3 Nonprofit Members, but do not have NAO voting rights.

Small Non-501(c)(3)s (1-49 employees) – $150
Large Non-501(c)(3)s (50+ employees) – $300

  • Dues are based on number of employees in the organization.
  • Organizations receive all the same benefits as 501(c)3 Nonprofit Members, but do not have NAO voting rights.

Individual Membership

Want to access NAO resources but are not affiliated with one specific organization? This membership is for you! Individuals may join NAO for the low cost of $60.

Become a member

All NAO memberships start on the day a member signs up and continues for a one-year term, for example, if a member signs up on October 14, 2024 the term would expire on October 13, 2025. NAO sends out a membership renewal notice near the end of the term to keep you in NAO’s statewide member network and keep those member benefits coming!
