Cultivating Effective Employees: HR Tools and Strategies For Success

Online Event
  • Member Price: $175.00
  • Non-member Price: $235.00

About this event

Impactful leaders understand they must develop their employees if they want to produce extraordinary outcomes within their organization. This cultivation happens through intentional hiring practices, clear job descriptions, active performance reviews, and plans for continuous improvement and support. Together, we’ll look for practical approaches to improve and advance your organizational practices for seeking current and future talent needs, nurturing employees’ strengths, and developing committed talent internally.

This cohort is intended for nonprofit leaders and professionals in a hiring or key staff management role. Through peer learning, group discussion, and in-session activities, by the end of the cohort you will be able to:

  • Create a hiring rubric template for your organization and rubrics for open positions
  • Create a job description template and job descriptions for each current and open position
  • Create a performance evaluation structure and process
  • Learn how to develop and manage a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)

Cohort Guidelines:

  • This learning cohort is intended to support Oregon-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits statewide.
  • Limit is 15 individuals per cohort with no more than two representatives from one organization.
  • Participants make a commitment to attend all sessions so we can collectively work together and build a network of support.
  • Conversations will be held as confidential to allow for depth and breadth of exploration.
  • Participants will help guide the sessions and materials to meet their priorities.
