Paid Leave Oregon now applies to almost every employer in the state, including nonprofits with at least one employee – which means it may apply to you. This program can provide employees with up to 12 weeks of paid time to welcome a new child, care for an ill family member, recover from their own health condition, or stay safe after incidents involving domestic violence or stalking. A program that enables employers to “help the helpers” with protected, paid leave can have a profound impact on the folks powering our missions.

NAO is bringing the Paid Leave Oregon team to you so you leave knowing exactly what is required, what you and your team are entitled to, and how to talk about it clearly.

You will walk away able to:

• Know your full obligations as an employer, including what does and does not change if you have fewer than 25 staff
• Explain the benefit to your team in plain language, so they can use it if and when needed
• Point the families and clients you serve toward leave they may not know they qualify for
